RSC 4011 - Fourth-Year Seminar II1 lecture hours 0 lab hours 1 credits Course Description This spring seminar is designed to support the retention and success of fourth-year MSOE students and students of senior standing through culturally centered experiences and activities that foster community engagement at MSOE. The instructional framework is based on the Council for the Advancement of Standards of Higher Education’s Learning and Development Domains and Outcomes (2020). It builds on Fourth-Year Seminar I, with an emphasis on interpersonal competence: leadership. Prereq: Coordinator consent Note: This seminar is offered only in spring. This course meets the following Raider Core CLO Requirement: None Course Learning Outcomes Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Participate in one or more service/volunteer activities that are characterized by reciprocity
- Demonstrate skill in guiding and assisting a group, organization, or community in meeting its goals
- Exhibit democratic principles as a leader or group member
