RSC 3011 - Third-Year Seminar II1 lecture hours 0 lab hours 1 credits Course Description This spring seminar is designed to support the retention and success of third-year MSOE students and students of junior standing through culturally centered learning experiences and activities that foster inclusion and belonging at MSOE. The instructional framework is based on the Council for the Advancement of Standards of Higher Education’s Learning and Development Domains and Outcomes (2020). It builds on Third-Year Seminar I, with an emphasis on interpersonal competence and experiential learning. Prereq: RSC 3010 or coordinator consent Coreq: RSC 0101 Note: This seminar is offered only in spring. This course meets the following Raider Core CLO Requirement: None Course Learning Outcomes Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Make connections between the classroom and out-of-classroom learning
- Provide evidence of knowledge, skills, and accomplishments resulting from formal education, work experience, community service, and volunteer experiences
- Work cooperatively with others, including people different from self and/or with different points of view
- Seek and value the involvement of others
- Listen to and considers others’ points of view
