UGR 4970 - Undergraduate Research Experience Variable credits Course Description This course allows undergraduate students to actively participate in research. The student, under the supervision of a faculty member, pursues a research experience in that faculty member’s area of expertise. Approval of the research topic, scope, and deliverables is required. Prereq: Department chair consent Note: A cumulative GPA ≥ 3.0 is strongly recommended. Students interested in completing a full-scale research project should take the UGR 4971 /UGR 4972 sequence. Course may be repeated for credit. This course meets the following Raider Core CLO Requirement: None Course Learning Outcomes Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Utilize tools, techniques, and methodologies appropriate for research
- Report findings in a manner appropriate for research
- Develop technical and scientific knowledge and skills in the research area
- Demonstrate creative and critical thinking and learning
