UXD 2963 - Intelligent User Interfaces1 lecture hours 0 lab hours 1 credits Course Description The course covers fundamentals of interface design and introduces algorithm-driven user interface (UI) design patterns. The course emphasizes the role of a human-centered approach in UI design to improve the reliability, safety, and trustworthiness of AI applications. Students will use a human-centered approach to prototype a user interface with AI-enabled capabilities. Prereq: UXD 2961 Note: None This course meets the following Raider Core CLO Requirement: None Course Learning Outcomes Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Articulate the fundamental principles of UI design and apply them to a real-world project
- Employ human-centered approach to design intelligent and exploratory user interfaces (UI)
- Identify appropriate techniques to create an impactful data point of view
- Be aware of the industry-standard tools for data visualization
- Design an impactful data point of view for target users
- Design a low-fidelity prototype utilizing UI design principles while considering contexts and users
- Advocate for human-centered approach in AI-enabled UI design
