GE 797 - Engineering Project I3 lecture hours 0 lab hours 3 credits Course Description This GE 797 course designation is used for the first three-credit registration of the Engineering Project as a follow-up to the proposal development in GE 796 . In consultation with a faculty advisor, each student develops an analytical study, engineering project or other suitable technical study that incorporates the concepts learned in the program. The project can draw from multiple disciplines or can focus on a technical area within the student’s chosen field of study. (prereq: GE 796 and consent of program director) Course Learning Outcomes Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Carry out an in-depth independent investigation on a technical topic with minimal supervision
- Write a formal report which clearly presents a new body of knowledge learned
