AE 5630 - Advanced Building Illumination Design3 lecture hours 0 lab hours 3 credits Course Description This course covers advanced design of building illumination systems. Students will look at lighting design techniques for buildings such as office lighting, hospitality lighting, museum lighting, lighting for senior and health care environments, and daylighting strategies. (prereq: AE 3601 or equivalent) Course Learning Outcomes Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Understand the lighting design process for specialty building applications
- Apply electrical code standards to specialty lighting design
- Understand and define the trends in lighting for buildings
