This course focuses on developing efficacy in the change process. The use of theories and therapies to impact change in self, individuals, families, communities, and systems is examined. Emphasis is placed on the use of data to guide quality improvement initiatives and decision making. Project management tools and strategies are introduced. (prereq: none) Course Learning Outcomes Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Apply concepts of project management to change initiatives
- Develop processes through which change can be initiated, incorporating appropriate theories and/or modalities
- Apply statistics and analytics to the examination of data to inform decision making
- Analyze data to identify opportunities for process improvement, specifically as it relates to quality and safety
- Analyze the impact of leadership skills in promoting change
- Evaluate the impact of leadership skills on effective team management
