MB 7770 - New Product Management2 lecture hours 4 lab hours 4 credits Course Description This course is designed to develop a thorough understanding of the innovation process where the innovations include products, services, and processes. The course emphasizes the multi-functional team approach and considers global best practices and methodologies including phase-gate, lean product innovation, sustainable development and agile development. Course material emphasizes people, process, and technology as the primary tools of innovation. This course focuses on innovation as one of the keys to sustainable competitive advantage. (prereq: MB 7700 , MB 6900 ) Course Learning Outcomes Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Analyze innovation processes for the purpose of continuous improvement
- Evaluate the effectiveness of innovation processes using relevant measurements
