BA 2712 - Advanced Database Management3 lecture hours 0 lab hours 3 credits Course Description This course provides an overview of relational database administration and advanced programming techniques. Data warehouse modelling and online analytical processing (OLAP) are presented. Students will demonstrate the practical application of database security management and develop database scripts, triggers, and stored procedures. (prereq: BA 2710 , BA 2730 ) Course Learning Outcomes Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Understand the application of database constraints, indices, and views.
- Create database triggers, scripts, and stored procedures.
- Describe key database administration concepts.
- Demonstrate database security techniques.
- Explain data mining techniques.
- Understand data warehouse architecture, models and basic queries.
