AE 1311 - Introduction to CAD1 lecture hours 1 lab hours 1 credits Course Description This class teaches the basics of 2-D CAD architectural drafting. The CAD program used is AutoCAD. No previous CAD experience is required. General CAD topics include basic drawing, editing and copying, along with dimensioning and text insertion. Specific AutoCAD functions include blocks, attributes and the use of layers. This course cannot be taken for credit by either AE or CM majors.
