AE 4122 - Sustainable Design and Construction I4 lecture hours 0 lab hours 4 credits Course Description This course introduces students to the sustainable design and construction movement in the building construction industry. Topics include the drivers for the sustainability movement, the impacts of building construction on society and the environment, the process to create a high performance green building, sustainable systems specifics in the various specialty areas of building construction, building sustainability assessment systems, and the economics of improving building sustainability. The course features weekly guest lectures from various fields within the sustainable construction movement.
