EE 544 - Power Electronics3 lecture hours 0 lab hours 3 credits In this course students are given background in device selection and power conditioning circuits that have application at high power levels. Topics covered emphasize the use of various active devices in inverters, converters, motor drives and power conditioning circuits. Topics include nonlinear magnetic circuits and the use of integrated circuitry in closed-loop power systems. An individual project is required. (prereq: EE-2070, EE-3111, and consent of instructor)
