ME 872 - Theory of Fluid Power Dynamics

2 lecture hours 2 lab hours 3 credits
A review is made of conventional methods for solving dynamic systems, i.e., Laplace transforms, Bode analysis, Nyquist analysis, root-locus and state-space representations. Methods are presented for mathematical modeling of complete hydraulic systems along with methods of solving the equations. Simulation, synthesis and identification methods are covered and comparisons are made. Practical methods of system linearization are applied to examples. Use of the computer is stressed. (prereq: ME 871 , ME-433)
