CSC 1310 - Introduction to Programming with Python2 lecture hours 2 lab hours 3 creditsCourse Description The objective of this course is to familiarize students with the basics of computer programming using Python. Each student is required to demonstrate proficiency in writing and documenting the testing of computer programs given a set of requirements. Basic programming skills covered include use of variables, data types, branching, file handling, loops, and functions. In addition, classes, exceptions, and sorting and searching approaches will be introduced. Students will become familiar with commonly used program development environments. Numerous programming exercises will provide experience in solving problems while reinforcing fundamental programming techniques and data handling.
