MA 3501 - Engineering Mathematics I4 lecture hours 0 lab hours 4 credits This course draws material from a number of areas essential to the further study of engineering. Topics are to be chosen from: parametric equations and arc length formulas; vectors and vector functions and their applications to calculus; tangents and normals to surfaces and parametric curves; directional derivatives and extrema of functions of several variables; line integrals, with independence of path criteria and applications to work. (prereq: MA 226 or equivalent)
