HU 445 - United States History I3 lecture hours 0 lab hours 3 credits This course presents a synopsis of American history from the period of the earliest English settlement up through the United States Civil War. The course examines significant political, social, and constitutional events that have shaped our national heritage during this period. The principal focus of the course is upon the development of sectional communities and the conflicts between those sections that ultimately led to the Civil War.
