BE 2200 - Computing in Biomedical and BioMolecular Engineering3 lecture hours 3 lab hours 4 credits The objective of this course is to familiarize students with the computer resources available at MSOE and to present the basics of computer programming as it applies to biomedical and biomolecular engineering. Each student is required to demonstrate proficiency in writing computer programs to solve engineering problems with biomedical and biomolecular applications. Particular emphasis will be placed on program design, documentation and testing. Effective use of various data types, logical operations and selection, repetition, production of professional quality data visualization (plotting), built-in and user defined functions and console, file operations, classes, structures, and function handles will also be covered. The MATLAB language is used in this course. (coreq: MA 137 )
