Course Description
This course introduces analysis of single degree of freedom systems, multidegree of freedom systems, free vibration analysis, forced system response, analysis of earthquake loading, and modal analysis. (prereq: none)
Course Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
  • Analyze single degree of freedom systems for a variety of dynamic loadings
  • Analyze multi-degree of freedom systems for a variety of dynamic loadings
  • Calculate the response of simple structures to earthquake loading
