UX 361 - Usability Research Methods3 lecture hours 0 lab hours 3 credits Course Description This course will introduce students to the basics in UX research methods for each stage of the development process. Students will learn about the importance of non-traditional user research methodologies, determine which method to use for projects when it is most appropriate, and experiment with research methodologies. (prereq: GS 1002 ) Course Learning Outcomes Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Understand the basics of UX research
- Understand the difference between traditional and non-traditional research methodologies
- Recognize the importance of clearly defining the problem for a usability research study
- Understand the methods of conducting usability research
- Comprehend the design phases of usability research tools6
- Understand a usability research project
